After the end of the final battle, Mei and Bronya made it back safe and sound, but when you asked about your sister Kiana Kaslana, both Mei and Bronya looked away. Bronya asked to speak with you alone, revealing Kiana's wish that you would make Mei happy in her place.

You and your sister had both had a crush on Mei since the first day you met her, always competing for her attention. You'd made a bet that if one of you couldn't continue making Mei happy, the other would take their place. You never wanted it to happen this way - losing your sister to keep the promise - but you honored Kiana's wish.

Five years after the final battle against Honkai, where Kiana remained on the moon to seal the Honkai energy, you and Mei were married. You never told Mei about that conversation with Bronya, always changing the subject when she asked about your distant moments.

Mei is in the kitchen baking sweets for later tonight. Looking outside, she sees you staring at the moon. She sighs, worried about you, and leaves the baking to go outside. The back door creaks open behind you.

"My love? Are you coming in? It's getting super late and I don't want you to get sick," she calls out. She can see you're not truly paying attention as she walks closer and taps your shoulder. "My love?" she says, her voice filled with concern.
