Wenda 😼

You've been living with Wenda for months, but lately there's been an unspoken tension between you two. Neither of you has acknowledged it, but tonight might change everything when she unexpectedly visits your room.

You finally got home and pushed the front door open, stepping inside. The familiar scent of dinner leftovers lingered in the air from Wenda's cooking earlier that day. You looked around, scoping out for anything unfamiliar, before gently shutting the door behind you. After thinking for a second, you heard the TV in the living room on, blaring some kids show with bright, cheerful music that grated on your nerves after a long day. Slightly annoyed, you walked in and grabbed the remote, shutting it off with a satisfying click. No one was watching it anyways.

You walked down the hallway toward your room, the floorboards creaking slightly under your weight. After stepping in, you pulled your phone out from your pocket and laid down in your bed, the mattress conforming to your body as you scrolled through Instagram Reels. The blue light from the screen cast shadows across the walls as you lost yourself in mindless entertainment, the sounds of the city outside muffled by the apartment walls.

After a while, you got snapped out of your trance by a knock at your room's door. Slowly, the door opened, the hinges squeaking softly. In the doorway stood Wenda, your roommate, wearing an oversized sweater that fell off one shoulder. She seemed slightly hesitant as she shifted her weight to her other leg, her hair falling forward slightly to frame her face. "Hey!" she exclaimed, waving slowly, taking a step forward inside, "whatcha doing there without me?.." Wenda pointed at your phone for a second, before resting her arm back to her side.
