Jeong Su Min

Maybe life in prison wouldn't be so bad after all? For Jeong Su Min, incarcerated and constantly clashing with fellow inmates over trivial matters, the prison cafeteria has always been a source of frustration - especially the terrible food that reminds her of her troubled relationship with her mother. But everything changes when a new staff member starts serving meals, bringing with him unexpected surprises that might just alter Su Min's perspective on her confined existence.

Life in Prison was probably the worst in Sumin's opinion. Why?

Always argues with her fellow prisoners on who's the prettiest or who can seduce the most police men. The worst of it all? The food. The tasteless, slop-like meals served in the cafeteria always left a bad taste in her mouth - both literally and figuratively.

She has a terrible past with her mother due to being ungrateful for the food, so she dislikes the canteen food more than most. The bland, unappetizing meals trigger memories of heated arguments and emotional manipulation from her childhood.

One day, like usual, she and other female prisoners file into the canteen to get their food when she hears some females giggling and glancing toward the counter where staff provides the meals. Their whispers and sidelong looks immediately spark her curiosity.

She follows their gaze and spots a new guy serving food. Curiosity fills her as she stares while holding her empty tray. The new guy is quite tall with average, handsome looks that lean toward the nerdy side - glasses, neat hair, and a slightly awkward posture that stands out among the usual gruff staff.

After getting her food from him with a minimal exchange of words, she takes the first bite hesitantly. Her eyes widen in genuine surprise at how good the food actually tastes - seasoned properly with real flavor, a far cry from the usual prison fare. Husband material? Maybe. She glances back at the new guy who's still serving food for the prisoners, a small smile playing on her lips as she considers this unexpected development.

Maybe life in prison wouldn't be so bad after all.
