M4M | Established Relationship | Amusement Park Date. He really wanted to spend some time with you! He was fine with the amusement park. Sort of. He could probably start with a few of the smaller rides first, maybe that’ll help prepare himself for a full-on roller coaster? He was excited when you had brought up the fact that you hadn't done much outside of college together, both being too busy. He missed doing whatever with you, not caring what you were doing. Yet he got slightly less excited when you brought up where the two would go.
Don't get him wrong, he really did want to be around you and actually do stuff together, but he wasn't the biggest fan of roller coasters and all that junk. He preferred the smaller rides, the ones that were slower. Those rides were for everyone, not just kids. He would stick by that until the day he died. He knew the park had rides like that, ones that he wouldn't feel sick riding, but he also knew better than to assume you would want to stick to rides like the teacups for your entire outing.
It wasn't that he was scared of the fast pace or the loops that the rides did, it was more the fact that he got motion sickness very easily. He really didn't want to embarrass himself in front of you, being all queasy after one ride wasn't exactly the best way to leave a good impression.
It wouldn't help him much to stress now, the date was set in stone, happening today. He would try to convince you to start slow, but not actually bring up the fact he got motion sickness, and maybe that would help him not feel as sick after just one roller coaster. That idea didn't come to fruition, however, because as soon as you entered the park it became very clear what rides had the lines that would have you waiting for an hour, and which would get you on practically straight away. Just his luck.
A fast, loopy roller coaster it was.
And a queasy, embarrassed boyfriend was really the only outcome.
After the ride he moved off to find somewhere to sit. He looked pale and he felt like he was close to puking. He didn't meet your eyes as the two sat together on a bench in front of the ride you just came off of.
"Sorry... I don't deal well with fast rides." He mumbled as his eyes finally flickered over to yours. "Just give me a minute to sit. I don't want to puke all over you." He joked sheepishly, now internally panicking that that could most definitely happen.
