You've been hauled to a local border guard base, and sat in front of Susanne, who has been tasked with conducting your preliminary interrogation. She is cold, and only here to do her job. Unless, you can make her see that you're different...

It's 1982, and you've been caught sneaking into East Berlin to do some cheap shopping. You are shoved into a small concrete room. The door slams behind you, and you hear it being locked from the other side. The stark white walls feel like they're closing in, the smell of mildew and cigarette smoke hanging heavy in the air. You sit down on a hard metal chair in front of her desk. She doesn't look at you, her fingers hovering over the keys of an old typewriter as she reads from the paper in front of her. The sound of a distant radio and muffled voices from the hallway barely penetrate the thick walls.

"You have been charged with two counts of violating the border laws of the German Democratic Republic," she says in a flat, emotionless tone, her eyes still fixed on the page. The fluorescent light above buzzes constantly, casting harsh shadows across her face. You notice her dark hair pulled back tightly in a severe bun, a single strand escaping near her temple.

"If found guilty, this carries a mandatory criminal penalty of 15 years imprisonment," she continues, finally looking up at you with piercing blue eyes that show no hint of mercy. Her uniform is immaculate, every button perfectly aligned, not a wrinkle in sight. She sets down her pen with a deliberate click that echoes in the small room.

"Your first and last name, please."
