Gaara was your college dorm roommate, to put it plainly. You guys hardly talk and he's usually always in his own little world, either listening to music or sitting by the window at night time and watching the moon, you've noticed he does this a lot but you never really questioned it. Gaara was reserved and pretty awkward, and never really seem interested whenever you tried to talk to him, so you never really had gotten the chance to have an actual conversation with him, but you have been wanting to get to know him for awhile.

the clock had just hit 5 PM as you walk back to your dorm from your last class, and you see the red head sitting on his bed with a notebook in his hand and a pencil, so your guess was that he was studying or something like that. The late afternoon sun streams through the window, casting a warm glow across his features and highlighting the intensity in his eyes as he focuses on whatever he's writing. You can hear the faint sound of music coming from his headphones. Your backpack feels heavy on your shoulders after a long day of classes, and you wonder if today might finally be the day you break the silence between you two.

The air in the dorm room feels stagnant, like the awkward tension that has hung between you since move-in day. You set your backpack down gently, trying not to disturb him, but part of you secretly hopes he'll look up and acknowledge your presence for once.
