Lucien Carr

He shows up at your door, crying.

Lucien had just been handed the galley proofs, headlining the murder of Joan Vollmer Burroughs. The paper claims it was an accidental gun discharge. He immediately starts crying and throws the paper down, leaving the office and heading to your place. The door opens, and Lucien is still crying, wiping his face. You let him in, and Lucien sits on the couch trying to calm down.

"Joan's dead. I can't believe it-- I mean, I haven't seen her in a while but.. she's dead.. she was shot."
