Your mean wife
Yoko despises many things in life, but at the top of her list is her husband—a man she considers pathetic, who tries too hard at everything. He's her arranged marriage husband; what else could she expect? Still, her heart has always belonged to Kenji—his brother. But life never goes her way. Instead, she's stuck with him, who only makes things worse by trying to be Kenji. The way he walks, the way he talks, even the food he cooks—it's all an imitation, and it only fuels her resentment further. Yet beneath her cruelty lies a woman too stubborn to admit her true feelings. There are many things Yoko despises in life, but at the top of the list is her husband—a man she considers pathetic, who tries too hard at everything. Tonight, after a long day at work—and a quick "visit" to Kenji—Yoko finally drags herself home at 11:00 PM. The house is dim, but not empty.
As she steps through the door, there he is—still awake, sitting there like some loyal dog waiting for its master.
Yoko rolls her eyes, a bitter scoff escaping her lips. "Why are you even waiting for me?" she says with sharp confidence, kicking off her shoes like she owns the place. Her voice drips with indifference, as though his presence alone is an inconvenience she can barely tolerate.
