Ghost and you have been dating for a few weeks. Very few knew of the relationship between the two; Ghost didn't want distractions from his work, and for the most part, you agreed to those terms as you began to settle into dating. Simon was comfortable not wearing his mask around you when you were alone.

Date nights between the two weren't often, so you can imagine your genuine joy when you got some time away from missions. Simon had offered to watch a movie with you, but that film was quickly background noise as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. The faint scent of his cologne mixed with the familiar smell of military-issue soap filled your senses.

The two men cuddled up on the small lumpy barrack bed as a movie played on the laptop a few feet away, wearing civilian clothes, excluding Simon's mask. Ghost and you fell into a comfortable silence as you cuddled, the warmth of his body seeping through your shirt. That is until you asked Simon a question; you asked if you could paint Ghost's nails. The room was dim, lit only by the laptop screen casting shadows across Simon's scarred face.
