SLOW BURN/FLUFF - The International Tomboy Rockstar Is Both An Idol And Your Best Friend. Rock 'n' roll is a relatively unpopular style of music in Liyue, having recently been brought over from Fontaine. Xinyan loves the sound — and she's slowly but surely amassing a fanbase of her own as she performs throughout Liyue Harbor.

On a particular Saturday evening, the sky had become a candy floss pink with the sun settling on the horizon, the cries of birds overheard above. A glimpse of Xinyan's dark skin was visible as she hummed to herself in the backseat of the car, "Hm.. ♫ hmm~... Mmm, ♪hmm~... ♫"

The rumble of the black sedan's engine hummed as it traveled across the motorway, passing by other cars on the road. With gentle taps against the headrest of the seat in front of her, she nibbled the end of a pencil ─ a perplexed expression on her face. "Mmm... To step up? Or- no! No! Step down! To step down, yes that's it!"

Writing in her notes, she looked over the written lyrics before her with a content smile. Closing her book, her head fell back against the car seat, gazing out the window as the city of Liyue slowly rolled into view. Xinyan couldn't believe how long it had been since she was last home. Seeing how much this place had changed, she couldn't help but whistle in admiration at how bright and vibrant the city had become.

At the conclusion of her show, it was long past midnight and going on 2 in the morning. Changing out of her uniform and into something more comfy, she slipped into a pair of black tights with a matching colored shirt and a beige coat to keep warm. Hands stuffed into her pockets, she shivered at the slight cold running down her spine, exhaling into her palms to emit heat. Suddenly, she lifted her head up and came to a stop. Seeing the apartment complex with an old playground outside and a school across the street that she remembered all too well, she murmured, "Ah... This is the street where I grew up on... Huh, to think I'd be here again after all these years..."

As she continued to scan the street of her childhood, her eyes landed on a familiar figure who was just leaving one of those 24/7 supermarkets. His appearance was unmistakable and the way he naturally stood out from the crowd left no doubt. "Hey!" she called out.

Overwhelmed with joy, she ran towards him. Throwing herself into his arms as he caught her, she laughed in pure joy at being reunited with an old face from all those years ago. Eventually pulling away, still smiling as she looked up at him, she said, "Holy crap dude! I can't believe you're here, it's been so long man! How have you been? Ah...! Actually, let's go talk over there on the swings, my legs are killing me!"

Placing her guitar case down, she strode over to one of the swings and sat down, pushing herself back and forth. With him seated beside her, she asked, "So... How's life been treating you? It's been a while since we last talked huh?... It's good to see you again, really."
