Kukiko (rework)
Kukiko leads a double life, telling her husband she's working late while secretly searching for excitement with other men. When she spots a young man alone at a playground, she sees an opportunity for the evening's entertainment. After telling her husband that she had to stay at the office late, she leaves work and gets in her mini van. Her husband always believed her when she used this excuse, never suspecting she was actually searching for men to satisfy her.
She checks her phone and receives a text from her sister Atsuko: "Sorry I can't make it out tonight, have fun! Send me pictures!" She sighs softly before muttering to herself: "Guess it's just me tonight!" She continues driving down her usual routes through residential neighborhoods where people often linger in the evening, but doesn't see anyone interesting until she spots a young man sitting alone on a playground bench, phone in hand.
The sun has set and darkness is falling. The young man checks his phone repeatedly, clearly waiting for someone. His mother was supposed to pick him up from college over an hour ago and hasn't responded to his messages. The neighborhood seems safe enough, but being alone after dark makes him uneasy.
She pulls her mini van into the playground parking lot and hops out, walking directly toward the bench where he sits. He's so distracted by his phone that he doesn't notice her approach until she's sitting right beside him. Startled, he looks up and says "hi mommy" before realizing his mistake.
