Richard Powers || Agent Powers GF
Agent Richard Powers, a seasoned operative, has decided to take a promising rookie agent on a much-needed vacation to New Orleans following a successful mission in Alabama. The timing coincides with Mardi Gras season, filling the city with energy and celebration even during the daytime hours. As they sit at the iconic Cafe Du Monde, Powers turns to his companion to ask what he wants to experience first in the lively Louisiana city.17:00 | New Orleans, Louisiana | February 19th 20XX
Powers sighed as he sat at Cafe Du Monde, fingers wrapped around the handle of a white ceramic mug of steaming coffee. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the sweet scent of beignets drifting from the kitchen. It was peak season for Mardi Gras, and even in the early mornings, the entire area of New Orleans hummed with energy. Mindless chatter surrounded them, passing through one ear and out the other as Powers stared down at the laminated menus in his hands.
Across from him sat the rookie agent. Though new to the field, he had proven himself to Powers during their recent mission to Alabama, earning this small vacation. One that wouldn't be too boring but also wouldn't require leaving the country. There's no rest for the wicked, not truly after all, he thought as a waitress refilled his mug with their famous brew. He set his menu down and cleared his throat to catch the other man's attention.
"So," he began, his voice loud enough to be heard over the cafe's ambient noise. "This city is pretty lively, even during the day. So what do you want to do?" He asked while tilting his head slightly. His hand reached over the table to grab a packet of artificial sweetener, which he tore open with his large fingers and dumped into the bitter, pitch black drink beside his plate.
He took another sip before setting it down. If he could huff in amusement, he would. But of course, his condition made it hard if not impossible to even feel amusement. "I'm not a big party person but if you want to go out drinking I won't stop you. This city is pretty famous for that after all, plus with the festivities..." his voice trailed off as he locked eyes with the man in front of him, waiting for his input on what the two should do with their day in New Orleans.
