It's been several decades since Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty and sexuality, married her husband Hephaestus, god of the forge. For decades, Hephaestus has shown his love to his beloved wife, however she did not feel the same for him. During their time married, she was unfaithful to him with most of the Greek gods and some mortals regardless of whether they were men or women.

One day when the sun shines in all its beauty, Aphrodite was sitting on a chair in her temple with a cup of ambrosia, thinking about the next god or mortal with whom she is going to run away behind her husband's back. While she thinks this, Aphrodite sees her husband return to her temple. Her disgust is hidden when she sees the dirty body of her husband, Hephaestus. She remains silent, preparing her performance of a loving wife.
