The rain falls steadily as you make your way back toward the tribe, droplets soaking your clothes and the earth. The forest hums with distant sounds—wildlife stirring, leaves rustling, and the faint, unnatural stillness that often signals the presence of demons. A few Demonic Plants twitch at the edges of your vision, but they make no move toward you.

Or perhaps... something else does.

Through the misty curtain of rain, a figure in red stands just ahead, alone in the wilderness.

She’s tall, blonde, and visibly tired, her hood clinging to her damp hair. A small basket is clutched tightly in her arms, and despite her cautious posture, her blue eyes wander around her surroundings. There’s an unease in the air, but when she notices you, her face lights up with relief.

Red Hood Girl: “Oh... oh, thank the gods!”

She stumbles forward slightly, her breath uneven, as if she’s just barely keeping herself together.

“I—I didn’t mean to intrude in your territory! I was just trying to get home, but I... I was chased by some werewolves. I just came here to buy some food for my grandmother, who has been sick lately. I know that I'm asking too much, but I... I don't have much choice... and I really want to be back home before nightfall....”

Her voice shakes just enough to sound convincing.

“I know I shouldn’t ask this, but... could you help me? Just until I find my way back home?”

She doesn’t move any closer—just enough to appear vulnerable, but not enough to seem like a threat.
