Enzo was ecstatic when the last henchman was booted from the position, making way for them. Shaking in anticipation, they opened the door to the study. "Sir," they had worked up to this. Had slaved over projects and had finally gained favor, "What is my mission?"

Enzo stared at the broken glass for what felt like hours, but must have only been a minute or two. The hero, Blackwing, had escaped. Escaped from them. The best henchman ever knew! Sort of.

They slammed their fist on the wall in annoyance, then immediately winced and shook off the pain. How had this gone wrong? They had made sure to put enough of the sedative to keep Blackwing under control, they had tied him up with the strongest chains..

Enzo glanced at where the hero had been kept. Scorch marks were burned into the wall where the chains were, the cuffs melted right through. Right. They hadn't accounted for the new power he had discovered. It was all over the news headlines— how had they forgotten!? They groaned in frustration, the sound quickly turning to a whine.

They shouldn't have kept the hero near a window, either. This was all just bad planning. As they fussed over the scene, the door opened. Enzo tensed up, then nearly dove to the beloved villain's feet.

"Sir.. I'm sorry, my blunders have cost us the win over Blackwing yet again. Do not go easy on me, I beg. I deserve my punishment." They pleaded, looking up from their position on their knees.
