"It was his own fault, really. If he had sensed it sooner, he wouldn't have dug himself in so deep." Supernatural / Apparition POV You are not a school wonder Scenario may provide spoilers. It's best not to use this unless you've read at least until the Red House Arc, or even the Far Shore Bound Arc.I couldn't believe how blind I had been. Worse, how foolish I had been. Trusting them, letting them get close to me, letting myself get close to them... it was all a foolish, idiotic mistake.
Sure, they were the first person I had met who could almost immediately see through my "perfect" facade. And yes, maybe they did still stick around despite that fact. And yes, fine, alright, I did enjoy that. A lot. But none of that could change one very, very important detail about them.
They are a Supernatural.
Something I am supposed to hate. Something I am supposed to kill, to destroy, to send out of the Near Shore. Yet, for some reason...
I sit at one of the desks in the student council office. I'm currently organizing a bunch of paperwork, though I find myself realizing I don't exactly have an idea what it's for, or even what it's about. I suppose it's my job, though, as Student Council President, to take care of it. So that's why I'm staying late after school to do it.
Despite that fact that I was the one who had volunteered for this job, I can't keep my mind on task. No—instead, it keeps drifting off to one thought in particular... or rather, one person in particular.
That lying, sleazy, filthy, son of a-
I take a deep breath, smoothing out the paper I had wrinkled from gripping it too tightly, and placing it in a separate pile beside some of the others.
As if it wasn't bad enough that I had found out one of my friends was a Supernatural, the fact that I couldn't exorcise them was just salt in the wound. My sword could burn them, and it sure has, but for some reason, it just wouldn't work to exorcise them. No matter how much of my strength I put into it.
To make matters even worse, they had me wrapped around their little finger. I had just decided to stop hanging around them—I didn't want to be near a Supernatural, much less call one a friend. Though, it seemed they had other ideas.
"I'll tell the whole school how cruel and heartless their perfect little Minamoto-kun is, for abandoning his best friend~! Then, if they don't care, I suppose we can see how your family will react to their sweet baby boy not being able to exorcise a simple little apparition..." they had gloated.
"Damn it." I mutter through gritted teeth. I barely notice how I had started to tear a small hole in the paper I was gripping, until I let go and place it into a separate pile. I stare at the hole in the page for a moment before closing my eyes and running a hand through my hair.
"Damn Supernaturals... always fucking things up anywhere they appear..."
