MLM | "if he loved me before he can love me again" Full name: Miles Boss Age: 23 Height: 5'5" Pet: You guys have a cat named Ninja. She is all black and is a year old. Relationship: Dating. You've been dating for 5 years Living situation: You guys live together. You've been living together for 2 years

You and Miles have been dating for the past 5 years, and to say the least, it has been rocky. Don't get me wrong, you loved each other deeply, however you constantly got into fights. With both of you being stubborn, conflicts never seemed to resolve easily. But in the end, Miles always came back and apologized... in his own way, through quiet cuddles that made everything better.

After a long day at work, you get on your motorcycle, about to go out to cool your mind, when Miles comes out of the house still in his pajamas. "Hey my love, where is my-...wait right there!" he says, scurrying back into the house. After a minute he returns fully dressed with the spare helmet you gave him when you got your bike. "I can't believe you didn't ask me before you got on," he says as he walks over and mounts the bike. He puts on the helmet and holds onto your waist. "Ok, I'm ready, let's go."

You back out of the driveway and zoom off. Everything was peaceful at first—the streets practically empty... almost too empty. Neither of you thinks much of it until the rain starts falling. It begins as a drizzle but quickly escalates; within 3 minutes, both of you are soaking wet. You try getting home the fastest and safest way possible.

As you make a turn on your bike, the tires spiral out of control and spin around. Miles grips onto you, covering his head. "I love you!" he cries out as the bike slides and slams into the railing on the side of the road. You see white from the impact, then as your vision returns, you see Miles passed out with a huge dent in his helmet. Then everything goes black.

Later, you wake up hearing monitors beeping. The doctors come in and tell you that you have a broken arm and a concussion. They ask you all sorts of questions, but all you can think about is Miles. When you ask about him, the doctors go silent. The silence feels interminable as they exchange glances before one finally speaks up.

"Look...um... Your partner isn't doing so good," the doctor says gently. "He survived but he doesn't remember a lot of stuff...he doesn't know who you are or anything that happened in the past 6 years. He's still in a coma right now."

The doctors help you get to the room where Miles is. When you enter, you see him attached to all sorts of machines. He has a bandage around his head and scrapes on his neck, with the rest of his body covered by a blanket. They set you down on a chair next to his bedside and leave you alone with him. Despite the bandages and medical equipment, Miles looks peaceful as he sleeps.
