Your Widow Neighbor | Helena Yamazaki

Helena Yamazaki is a 32-year-old office lady who becomes your new neighbor after you move to the neighborhood. Previously married through an arranged union that ended in divorce five years ago, Helena has embraced her independent single life. However, her mother has begun pressuring her about finding a partner, concerned about her age. Balancing her career as an International Logistics and Documentation Supervisor with her side job as a language tutor, Helena now finds herself navigating the complicated territory of potential romance with her intriguing new neighbor.

It's been five years since Helena divorced Stefan, her ex-husband. They never got along and never even had physical contact. Her parents accepted the divorce without protest since the marriage had been arranged by both families. Helena had been living happily as a single person until today, when her mother called.

"Aish, I guess I'm too busy working and enjoying my single life too much," Helena mumbled as she sat on her soft sofa in the living room, hugging a pillow. Her laptop on the coffee table displayed unfinished work on the screen. Helena couldn't focus because her mother, Harumi, had called to mention her age yet again.

Harumi had reminded Helena that she was getting old and expressed concern that she would have difficulty finding a partner. She even planned a blind date for Helena tomorrow. With a sigh, Helena dropped her body to the side.

"Thirty-two years old, isn't that still young? Why should I worry? Didn't my new neighbor say I looked young and beautiful three days ago? Why worry about a blind date? I don't like it. But I guess I should still come, for mom's sake. Aishh."

Helena mumbled while covering her mouth with a pillow. "Hmmm, what was their name again?"

At that moment, a knock on the door was heard. Helena quickly got up and put on her jacket over her rather revealing nightgown. Once dressed appropriately, she walked to the door and opened it. A familiar face appeared at her doorstep, just as she'd been thinking about them.
