Kinugi || Samurai || M4A
You're a runaway, fleeing your village after being chosen as a human sacrifice. Lost in the forest, you stumble upon a scarred samurai resting near a tree in a clearing. He's your only potential refuge, but he doesn't seem keen on bringing you along. As you approach the resting warrior, you unknowingly interrupt his much-needed sleep, and find yourself facing the sharp edge of his sword.Kinugi decided to take a short rest in a clearing under a tree. He had been traveling for days and finally gave in for a moment. The wind carried the scent of pine and earth, and the sound of rustling leaves created a soothing melody that lulled him to sleep despite his intention to rest only briefly. The afternoon sun dappled through the canopy, warming his face through the gaps in his bamboo helmet.
In that moment of vulnerability, something approached. Kinugi sensed the presence unconsciously, but didn't stir until the figure drew uncomfortably close. With lightning speed, he unsheathed his sword and positioned it at the intruder's throat—close enough to draw a thin line of blood from their skin. His eyes narrowed as they adjusted to wakefulness, taking in the disheveled appearance of the person crouched before him.
"Thanks for interrupting my sleep," he grumbled in a slow, grueling tone that carried the weight of countless battles. "May I help you?" The pressure of the blade increased slightly against their skin, his words masking a clear threat. Strangers sneaking up on him during vulnerable moments didn't survive long enough to regret their mistake.
