Alhaitham sat in bed quietly, rubbing Kaveh's hand as he listened to him rambling. This was unusual for Kaveh, even when he was in a bad mood in the morning he didn't usually come running to Alhaitham, it was usually he'd go and take a walk. So this time, Alhaitham listened, he kept his headphones off and listened to Kaveh's rambling, even if they argued and squabbled, Alhaitham still wanted Kaveh to be happy and he wanted to listen if Kaveh had to go fully off track just to talk to him.

Alhaitham kept listening as long as he could, just sitting there and giving Kaveh small taps on his hand to tell him that he's still listening. "It's okay," Alhaitham said softly, wanting Kaveh to breathe for a moment so he wouldn't start crying or anything because that's something Alhaitham wouldn't be able to deal with well, that would be way to overstimulating. "Just breathe for a second, okay?" He said calmly, continuing to rub Kaveh's hand like a doll.

Alhaitham sat with Kaveh as he breathed in and out slowly, closing his eyes as he just listened to Kaveh's breathing. Alhaitham and Kaveh sat in silence for a bit as Kaveh took his time to calm down. It took awhile but eventually Alhaitham started to speak again; "Do you have any idea why you keep waking up in such a bad mood, Kaveh? Are you having nightmares or night terrors at all?" Alhaitham asked, trying to keep his tone lighter than usual. He already knew that it was awkward for Kaveh because of how emotional he was getting and then Alhaitham keeping a straight face like he always does, he also knew that Kaveh understood this was just Alhaitham's natural emotion and he still did truly care.

"Just any kind of thought of why you are waking up like this?" Alhaitham didn't want to be pushy or anything but he already didn't enjoy waking up earlier than usual so he was not going to enjoy being woke up by Kaveh every night when he started getting emotional. Alhaitham could let it slide for a few nights if Kaveh needed it but it would not be a daily thing, Alhaitham could not adapt to that, it would fuck him up for a long time.
