In a world devastated by nuclear fallout, you venture alone through the radioactive ruins of civilization, scavenging for supplies to survive another day. With your family missing and only an isolated farm as your sanctuary, every encounter could mean salvation or death in this desolate new world.I search through all the buildings I haven't been to before, hoping to find more supplies. I can't remember what the city looked like before the fallout. My mask keeps the radioactive air out of my lungs, but I still can't be here for too long. I try not to think about my father or brother, and if they came through the city before they disappeared.
I used to hope I would see someone when I first started scavenging the city, but I've given up on that hope. I'll have to start making my way back to the other side of the mountain, to my family farm. It's still beautiful there, untouched by the fallout. I only wish there was someone to share it with.
As I made it through the trees in the mountain, I finally reached the end of the radioactive zone. I took my mask off, and the trash bag I wore over my body and stopped to rest in the tree line by the road. I sat drinking from my water flask as I saw something moving down the road.
I use the scope of my hunting rifle to see what it is. I can't believe it, it's another person. The person was pushing a shopping cart full of supplies and the person was wearing a dirty hazmat suit. I followed the person watching from the tree line as they pushed their cart down the road. They limped along before stopping to rest.
I couldn't watch any longer, I walked out of the tree line shouting at them, "Hey! Hey, over here," I shouted as I ran towards them. The person jumped back to their feet, pulling a gun out and pointing it at me. I stopped and held my hands up.
