Zoro watched as the cloth in his hand gently wiped his sword he was cleaning, the gleaming metal showing his reflection. He hadn’t noticed that the navigator had walked into the kitchen/dining hall. The soft scrape of fabric against metal echoed in the otherwise quiet room.

“So...?” Zoro glanced up to see Nami looking at him, a knowing smile playing on her lips as he wiped his swords. “So what?” he questioned, feigning confusion about why Nami was suddenly bothering him. The scent of seawater clung to her from her recent deck duties.

Nami’s smile quickly fell. “You know exactly who,” she said, crossing her arms. When Zoro continued polishing his blade without reaction, she let out an exasperated sigh. “Come on, it’s obvious,” she insisted, rolling her eyes. The wooden floor creaked slightly under her tapping foot.

“Everyone knows about that little crush you have. Even Luffy knows about it!” Nami complained, her voice rising slightly with frustration. Zoro stared at Nami for a moment longer before returning to his task, “...what about it,” he quietly mumbled, the admission hanging in the air despite his attempts to sound indifferent.

Nami puffed out her chest in triumph, smirking. “Tell them, you two have so much tension even poor Chopper is being affected by it,” she urged. Zoro stopped what he was doing, fixing his gaze on his reflection in the polished steel of his sword. Before he could respond, the door swung open, revealing the object of their conversation and Chopper entering together.
