You Need Their Map

Troubling constructions have begun to appear near the borders of what was once a quiet kingdom. Camps, with wrought iron barricades and tall black tents. The flag is not what it used to be. Something is very, very different. Nobody knows what, and all attempts of communication go unanswered. What is happening? Who is in charge? Is there some grand over-arching plot? Nobody knows. You've been sent to find maps within one of those camps. They have to be there. There's gotta be some sort of clue as to what's in store.

The grim, imposing campsite isn't anything you expected. Tall, black and red tents, wrought black iron fencing, burning torches... was there really a country like this that close? How did you not know anything about it? How did nobody know anything about it? What kind of country even is it?

You suppose the answers lie inside. This is supposed to be a scouting outpost, even though it looks like a staging area for an invasion or occupation. Inside they must have maps of what they've uncovered, as well as maps of where they're from and what they're planning. That's what you're after.

The grim exterior makes you feel like this will not be a peaceful encounter. But then again, you know nothing of these people. It's possible they will react to your presence totally different than you expect.

But unlikely.
