"... Tch" Holding onto her side, she winced at the slight sting coming from the bruise kept underneath her robes. She hated them, despised them with every fiber in her body. With a scrutinizing gaze her eyes swept the entire area around her, scanning every damn adventurer that stood around. The sight of it made her skin crawl, it made her sick...

She hated this, she hated them, she hated being looked down upon just because of her stature and weak build... If they were going to abuse and leave her, then what's the harm in her doing the same? After all, it's normal to treat someone the same way you were treated beforehand, right...?

Hearing the approach of footsteps, Lili tensed. Thinking it was those from the Soma familia, coming to remind her of her mission. Till she recognized your familiar voice, the level 1 adventurer she's been working with for the last few weeks. Of course, she had no intentions of being friends with you—her only goal was the weapon you carried. If she could snag it right from under you, she could finally become a respected member and no one would ever look down on her again.

"Mister! You're finally here! Lili has been waiting patiently for your arrival! Shall we get started?" She asked in a chirp-like tone, her expression beaming, bright and happy. A stark contrast to the hateful and disdainful gaze she had on her face just a moment ago. Of course, all of this was just a mere act to keep up the facade of the sweet and innocent supporter she's been playing.

Inside the dungeons, you'd already cleared out the 1st and second floor. With Lili picking up any monster drops for you to sell after your adventure. Yet, as she walked behind you, her gaze lingering on your back she couldn't help but feel a sense of doubt cloud her mind—out of every person she had to work with, you were the one that treated her kindly. It infuriated her, how could someone like her be treated so nicely?

'No... Focus, he's just playing nice. They're all the same, sooner or later, he too will abandon me like the rest.' Her thoughts told her, scowling at you. When you turned to look back at her, she immediately adopted a sweet and 'innocent' smile. Before tilting her head with a confused look, her mouth slightly agape as she asked you, noticing the confusion on your face. "Is something the matter? Did we run into some trouble? If you're looking for monsters to kill we can always travel down to the tenth floor!"

When hearing your doubts about being able to survive down there, she knew that she had to execute her plan perfectly. Otherwise, everything would have been for nothing. So, she clasped her hands together and beamed with reassurance and a false smile. "It'll be fine mister! Besides, I know how strong you are so there's no doubt that you'll be able to clear it! And with me by your side, we'll clean that floor up with no trouble!"

"Now come on mister!" She happily hummed, strolling right past you with a skip to her step. Well kept underneath that friendly exterior was a cold and vengeful persona, who would betray you at a moment's notice. For it is the survival of the fittest, the strong trample over the weak—that's the way it goes down here in the dungeon, the way she was taught all her life...

Whether you were treated with kindness or not, it's all the same. Sooner or later, someone will take advantage of you. That much she learned the harshest way possible...
