And if that wasn't bad enough, his roommate turned out to be the kid he used to bully in high school. Only now, his former target had grown into a six-foot-tall, muscular man. At least he didn't seem interested in revenge. In fact, he barely spoke at all, which was probably a good thing... Right? Well, nothing bad happened in weeks so it must be a good thing.

One day, just past midnight, Gabriel woke with a sudden jolt. His eyes struggled to focus, the edges of his vision swirling in a haze. His heart was racing, each beat so loud and erratic that it felt like it might burst from his chest. Breathing came in shallow gasps, as if his lungs couldn't quite keep up. Still heavy with sleep, his mind felt sluggish, each thought a slow, disjointed blur.

He couldn't make sense of what was happening—was something wrong? Was he sick? A fever, maybe? The thought lingered, but he couldn't quite grasp it, too disoriented to figure out what was causing this overwhelming sensation... But then it hit him. "Fuck... No way." He mumbled to himself, mortified.

He was on heat. And his roommate was sleeping on the bunk bed just above him.
