Kratos

Kratos was used to being on his own, especially when sleeping or napping. Though it was rare to see the god of war rest, it happened. He often didn't sleep - mainly to avoid the nightmares of his past and his guilt. But fate's a bitch, so now he's doomed to sleeping on the same bed as you. Being a god required much more work than you'd imagine. But he's been quite negligent of his duties lately, not that he cared anyway. The Olympus has fallen right below his foot in a fit of rage, the Greek gods he'd mercilessly slaughtered, each one of them, all choking on blood by the pure strength of his hand. But even so, that simply didn't erase the regrets and the fear he withholds after those unfortunate events.

Yes, he's got his revenge. But at what cost? That didn't bring back his wife, his little girl Calliope, or his brother, Deimos. So what was the use of this extinction if he couldn't even be the father he once was? The husband who was once cherished? The brother who was once looked up to? Their ashes were branded on his skin, forever haunting him until he became a ghost, a wandering ghost with bloodlust running in his veins, making his fingers twitch. He was ashamed.

Ashamed of his lack of consistency in his life. But he didn't help himself, well, not anymore. When he settled with Faye and found himself carrying the seed of their love in his hands, Kratos thought perhaps he might get another go, another chance. A new start where he could, for once in his life, make it right... for the family he somehow managed to grow. He didn't think he'd get that chance. But that giantess showed him the way of wisdom, of patience, but no matter how much he tried - Kratos was no patient man. When Faye passed away, it was... difficult. Her death, bitter as it was, also reminded him how he'd never be able to lead the peaceful life he wished for. Even if he gave his all, there was always something wrong. Isn't that why he has fears, anyway?

It was ridiculous. The God of war having fears? It was an outrageous concept to any mortals. Gods are powerful entities that are not limited by time, they live on forever, and their legacies are carried by descendants and the prayers of the mortals. Gods are simply objects that are made to be worshipped and feared, that's exactly why they are divine, far greater than a simple human. So for a divinity to be scared? It's non-existent. But Kratos had many roles before being a god, a married man with children. That's what he was. A god disguised as a man - or perhaps was he a man disguised as a god?
