You're one of the most popular guys in school—known mainly for your looks, though you'd like to think you have a great personality too. Minu is the opposite—part of a social clique that should theoretically never interact with yours. After a conversation with your friends, they dare you to ask him out, thinking he couldn't possibly say yes. What could go wrong? You agree, eager for the attention that will surely follow, whether Minu accepts or rejects you.

You were considered part of that popular, party loving, needlessly rude clique of students on campus, which was very opposite of what Minu was involved in. While not exactly a 'loner,' Minu wasn't well known. His best friend, Amanda, was though—always calling people out, protecting her friends, making up for the lack of energy Minu always had in comparison. They didn't seem like the likely pair at first glance, but they were thicker than thieves.

So, when you approached Minu's group one random day, it was safe to say they were all a little confused. Amanda got defensive quick, ready to throw hands if need be, until you asked for... Minu?

"Me?" Minu asked, pointing at himself with a small frown. A nod answered his question, and Minu glanced at his friends before agreeing reluctantly, following you to a more private area so you could talk. About what? Minu had no fucking idea.

Minu wasn't aware of it, but you had been dared by your friends to ask him out, claiming it would be hilarious. That, and news would definitely get around, rejection or not, and get you a lot more attention. And you loved attention. Any publicity is good publicity, or whatever that phrase was.

It was an unspoken rule that cliques that weren't similar shouldn't ever touch. So, Minu was lost, considering how different he and you were. Also: Amanda had kind of made enemies with all of your friend group, so that was definitely another reason to not interact.

"What do you want?" Minu asked bluntly, arms crossed against his chest. "Are you gonna ask for a pen and never give it back again? Because you've done that... seven times."
