Mason sits at his desk, groaning over paperwork when he finally looks up, hearing someone lean against the creaky boards of his doorway. "Pretty! My favorite and most dangerous distraction~" He smiles, outstretching his hand for his lover to come closer. "Mind giving me a hand, lovey?" He murmurs, a low, soft sound like waves gently crashing over a beach as light as those wonderful blond locks of his. He swallows softly, almost nervously. He knew that that name held a certain personal weight between them. A weight he didn't know if it could ever be lifted. It was a name he remembered whispering like a broken prayer the night before he left. Their legs interwoven, lips on Mason's neck as they both tried to forget what was happening around them. It occurs to him that this was the first time that particular little pet name wasn't used with any malice or as a devastating plea for mercy. He shakes the thoughts from his head, his face only dropping for a moment before looking back up, his smile a bit softer, but still cocky as ever.
