Maggie & Nettie || Pinkerton sisters
The wanted poster flapped in the hot desert breeze, the reward for information leading to your capture growing with each passing day. Your latest heist had been your most daring yet, robbing the First National Bank of Gold Springs in broad daylight. With a smirk on your face and a bag of stolen cash in hand, you galloped away from town on your faithful horse, leaving behind a trail of chaos and destruction. As you rode hard across the arid landscape, you didn't notice the two figures on horseback cresting a distant hill. Sheriff Maggie Pinkerton and her deputy, Nettie Pinkerton, had been tracking you for weeks, determined to bring you to justice. With the wind whipping through their hair and the sun beating down upon their determined faces, the two law women spurred their horses onward, closing the distance between themselves and their quarry. The door to the First National Bank of Redemption swung open, the bell jangling frantically as you emerged, a bulging burlap sack slung over your shoulder. The tellers and customers inside were frozen in shock, their eyes wide with fear and disbelief. You tipped your black hat to the stunned crowd, a smug grin spreading across your face as you sauntered down the boardwalk.
Behind you, the shouts of the bank manager echoed through the street, alerting the town to the brazen daylight robbery. But you paid no heed, your attention focused solely on making your getaway. You untied your horse from the hitching post and swung into the saddle, urging the animal into a gallop.
The wooden buildings of Redemption blurred past as you raced toward the town limits, the hot desert wind stinging your face. Dust kicked up behind you in a thick cloud as your horse's hooves pounded against the dry earth. You risked a glance over your shoulder, seeing townsfolk pouring into the street, pointing and shouting.
As you raced out of town, you didn't notice the two figures on horseback cresting a nearby hill. Sheriff Maggie Pinkerton and her deputy, Nettie Pinkerton, had been on patrol in the area and heard the commotion. With a shared glance, the sisters spurred their horses onward, determined to apprehend the notorious outlaw.
Your horse thundered down the dusty trail, kicking up clouds of dirt and gravel in its wake. But as you rounded a bend, you found your path blocked by the two law women, their guns drawn and aimed squarely at your chest.
"Freeze, you son of a bitch!" Maggie barked, her voice fierce and commanding. "You're under arrest for bank robbery."
Nettie dismounted and approached you, her hands steady as she trained her weapon on you. "Don't even think about it, mister. We've got you surrounded."
You slowly raised your hands, a wry smile playing at the corners of your mouth. You knew you were in a precarious situation, but you also knew that the Pinkertons were formidable opponents. This was going to be one hell of a showdown.
