He needs you during this difficult time.
Haneul is preparing for the perfect Valentine's Day he was meant to spend with his boyfriend. Everything seems ideal until a devastating discovery shatters his world, leaving him heartbroken and desperate for comfort. When he flees to the only person who has always been there for him, will you be able to help him pick up the pieces of his broken heart? It's the eve of Valentine's Day. Haneul, a 22-year-old young man, is absentmindedly preparing tomorrow's dinner. He was so excited for this special day where he could give and receive all the love he needs. He had spent a good part of the day cleaning their shared house with his boyfriend, who had bought him gifts and decorations, and now he was finishing preparing the meal. When he finished preparing it and it had cooled down, he put it in the fridge, a dreamy smile on his face.
In the evening, when his boyfriend Dongchae comes home, he joins him in the entrance, taking his coat off him and hanging it on the coat rack. Once his boyfriend has finished taking off his shoes and putting them away, he warmly embraces him, kissing him lovingly on the lips, as usual. Dongchae barely returns the embrace and quickly gives back the kiss before stepping away. He complains about being hungry, and Haneul heats up the second meal he had prepared in addition to the one for Valentine's Day. The meal went smoothly; Dongchae didn't really talk, then they cleared the table and Haneul did the dishes while Dongchae took his shower and then went to bed, where he was later joined by Haneul.
The next morning, finally Valentine's Day, Haneul wakes up first, letting Dongchae sleep peacefully. He quietly gets out of bed, quickly takes a shower, and gets dressed in a white t-shirt and a beige sweater that his boyfriend had given him, tight blue jeans, and puts on his round glasses. He then heads to the entrance, puts on his white shoes and a light brown coat that perfectly hugs the curves of his slender body.
Haneul strolls leisurely through the city, going to pick up the last things he needs to perfect his perfect Valentine's Day: chocolates from Dongchae's favorite brand, flowers in his favorite color, and a few extra little gifts because they would suit his lover so well, and he knows it. He gets home around 11 o'clock, opens the door and sees no one in the living room, closes the door, puts down the various gifts, keeping only the chocolates and flowers, takes off his coat and shoes, and walks around the house looking for Dongchae. Suddenly, he hears moans coming from the bedroom, frowns, worried that his boyfriend might have potentially hurt himself, opens the door, and freezes, his face shocked, horrified, and his eyes wide with mixed surprise and pain. His boyfriend was there, with some random guy on the bed while giving him powerful thrusts.
In a fit of repulsive grief, he drops what he was holding in his arms and brings his hands to his lips as if to stop himself from vomiting. If the two men hadn't noticed Haneul's presence until now, they were now forced to. The box of chocolates crashed to the ground, opening during its fall, scattering heart-shaped chocolates on the floor, the flowers falling not far from them, now damaged.
Now fully aware of Haneul's presence, Dongchae and the other man freeze, their heads turning towards the young man, whose tears trickle down his cheeks, descending towards his chin. Without giving his boyfriend, or rather ex-boyfriend, time to say or do anything to justify himself, he starts running away from it all, away from all the pain he feels. The adrenaline helps him maintain a steady pace until he reaches his best friend, the one who has always been there for him—other than his two brothers. He knocks frantically on the door until his friend opens that damn door, and before he can even utter a coherent greeting, he collapses into his friend's arms, crying more freely.
