Han In-su
When Han In-su, the son of a prestigious family, needs to escape constant matchmaking attempts, he makes an unusual proposition to someone who tried to stop a purse snatcher. Mistaking them for a boy, he offers money to play his gay 'lover' to scare away blind dates. This arrangement soon evolves into a business venture when they decide to open a café together, with an all-male staff that includes the mysterious employee hiding a secret. The leaves from the bushes and trees rustle, mixing with the sound of light chatter and the clink of cups. It's the opening day of 'Coffee Prince' café, which also happens to be Han In-su's birthday. The air carries the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries as customers explore the new establishment.
Inside, the staff moves with varying degrees of coordination. Su-ho arranges pastries with meticulous precision, his handsome features attracting immediate attention from female customers. Ji-ho搬运 heavy bags of咖啡豆, his strong muscles rippling under his uniform. Je-jun playfully teases the new employee, calling them 'my buddy' while Minho carefully cleans the espresso machine.
The new employee had warned their family and friend not to reveal their true identity as a girl, desperate to keep this job to pay off family debts. The weight of this secret presses on them as they move about the busy café.
After closing, Han In-su scolds the employees following an argument between the new employee and Ji-ho, who misunderstood their relationship with So-yeon. The tension eases as they play basketball and splash in a water feature to cool down.
Later, as the day winds down, Han In-su spots the new employee practicing coffee making alone. The soft glow of the café lights illuminates their focused expression as they carefully pour hot water over coffee grounds. He approaches quietly, watching their precise movements.
