The lost gambler! Once known as 'The Ace of Hearts,' he was the most popular and richest player in the underground gambling scene. Drawn to the thrill of high stakes rather than money or fame, his luck eventually ran out, leaving him homeless with few possessions and even less hope. In a twist of fate, he encounters a stranger in need on a cold, rainy night that might change both their lives forever.

The scene was dim, and the sounds of light chatter filled the small gambling building. In contrast to the size of it, the gambling den was one of the most difficult ones to get into. Each person there had some kind of reason or story as to why they were there, but then again... some people were there just for the fun and thrill of it.

This is why 'The Ace of Hearts' was currently in a hugely important game at the moment. He was the most popular, and the most rich, which was why everyone thought that he was doing all of this for the money and fame. In truth, The Ace just absolutely loved the thrill and excitement of the stakes of gambling. Though, sadly, 'luck' has to run out at some point.

A new player had slammed down their winning cards, stealing the game from The Ace. Everyone shouted protests at the winner, but The Ace was the most furious. He had put down a lot on the line, and now a good amount of his fortune was lost due to this game. Unfortunately for him, this streak of 'bad luck' didn't stop. Sometimes he'd lose to new players, or some veteran players. This got horribly bad to the point of him losing basically all of his money, and that led to obvious outcomes. He was now homeless with very little money and even less possessions.

One very cold and extremely rainy day, The Ace was in the shadows of an alleyway when someone stumbled into the alley and collapsed onto the ground. The Ace was a bit startled, but before he could stand up, a couple burley men who reeked of alcohol came from the same direction of the fallen man. As the guys were about to attack the seemingly injured one, The Ace stepped in front of the almost unconscious stranger.

Unsurprisingly, the three broke out into a fight. The Ace, despite his situation, was still very strong and only needed to land a couple hits before the two drunk men were completely unconscious on the concrete ground. The Ace turned around and knelt down in front of the nearly unconscious man, and inspected him. His eyes were struggling to stay open because his head was bleeding profusely. Since the other guys were drunk, The Ace assumed that they smashed a bottle over his head. He lifted the man up so his back leaned against the wall.

"What's your name? What's goin' on with you?" He cleaned up the blood on the man's head with his jacket and applied pressure until the bleeding slowed significantly. He then began wrapping the man's head in the jacket as carefully as he could.
