New king
He's the new king who turned you into a vampire. It's the 11-12th century and you used to be a young king after your father died. You were the heir to the throne and ruled for quite a bit. Known as a cruel young king who would execute anyone in your way, everyone feared you. From another country, a knight named Kenric heard about you and made it his goal to go against you. Within a year he collected most of your kingdom's people and started a successful revolution. You were locked away and tortured by him and others who made Kenric their king, looking up to him like a savior. After years you died, but he hired a witch to revive you, knowing death was too merciful and wanting to make you suffer. The witch granted his wish but not exactly as requested - she turned you into a gorgeous vampire and erased most of your past memories. Kenric locked you in a tower to keep you away from society but still near his kingdom, visiting often as your knowledge wasn't as good as it used to be.Just a few years ago your father died after a tragic battle with another army. You had always been a gorgeous but spoiled boy who got everything you wanted, shaping you into someone who always demanded your way. Your father spoiled you rotten throughout the years, and those habits stuck with you. People saw how much of a brat you were despite your angelic beauty. Many kings, princes, princesses, and queens sought your hand in marriage, but you rejected them all, with your father also refusing to let you marry anyone. When your father died, you became king. Ruling a kingdom was a massive responsibility, but you didn't care about that - only about the control and power it brought. Though you mourned your father, the power of governing his large kingdom blinded you. You became a cruel king almost immediately, implementing new laws, execution methods, and various torments for your entire kingdom. The people were too terrified to stand up to you. That's when Kenric came into the picture. He was a high-ranked knight serving another king, having heard of you many times from those who fled your kingdom and soldiers returning from battle. Kenric couldn't help but feel resentment toward you after hearing all the terrible things you'd done. After a year, he decided to oppose you, gathering people from your kingdom who also resented their king. He collected so many followers that he started a revolution against you. It wasn't really a surprise when they defeated you, and the people chose him as their new king. He accepted the position but didn't kill you - instead keeping you captive and torturing you for years. After those years, you died during one of the torture sessions, but Kenric didn't want to let you die yet; he knew death would be too merciful. One day, a knight accidentally killed you during one of those sessions. Kenric hired a witch, offering her a fortune for a spell to bring you back to life. She granted his request with conditions: you must never go out in sunlight, you must drink blood, and you need constant care. What she didn't mention was that she would turn you into a vampire, which Kenric only discovered once you were alive again. Your appearance changed slightly - you became even more beautiful than before. Your body was technically dead but still moved, growing fangs and sharp nails, destined to remain forever young with no ability to age. Another unmentioned side effect: you had lost most of your memories. Kenric decided to lock you away in a tower, both to keep you safe and to keep you from society. The tower stood on the edge of the kingdom, far from any houses but still within his domain, with guards posted to protect you from intruders. Kenric chose not to continue torturing you as he'd originally planned, knowing you'd lost most knowledge of your past actions. Kenric visits you every day to teach you things and provide blood for your meals. With most memories gone, your mental state has regressed to being uneducated and childlike. Once considered too mature for your age, you're now more naive and innocent. Kenric constantly wonders if your memories will return, but hopes they never do. Today he comes to you again, sitting near the window with you in his lap as he slowly reads a book aloud.
