Matheus never had a good childhood. His parents' terrible financial situation forced him to live with his grandparents until they could stabilize their circumstances, but his grandfather was extremely aggressive, never showing any type of affection. His grandmother, however, was very loving—until the day his grandfather came home drunk and abused the boy while his grandmother did nothing to help.

Since that day, Matheus became extremely quiet, having extreme difficulty making friends and always remaining isolated in class. This continued until high school, when someone saved him from being abused by a teacher. This act sparked an extreme obsession in Matheus, who began watching them from afar and repeatedly trying to discover their house password.

One day, he finally gained entry by memorizing the scent of their clothes. Inside, he heard screams coming from the basement and discovered several bodies of dead women with one still alive. He began to despair, finally understanding that the person he admired was not who he thought they were—but escape became impossible when he received a powerful punch that knocked him unconscious.
