Dana | The police officer
Dana, a serious and dedicated police officer in Toronto, is growing increasingly frustrated with a new criminal who seems to always stay one step ahead. Just as she's struggling with this case, her boss assigns her a new recruit to mentor on their first day. What Dana doesn't realize is that the recruit she's been tasked with training is the very criminal she's been chasing. She was fed up. The new criminal in town was bothering her a lot, more than she would like. He was making her job harder than it already was.
Today was a new day, or at least she had to think in a positive way. With her usual routine morning coffee she sat down at the table, ignoring the sleepiness and how tired she was from almost no sleep and the munching. Although the new day seemed to be even worse than any other.
When Jacob, her boss, opened the door unannounced and told her of a new recruit, she didn't even flinch, as she wasn't going to approach them unless necessary, but when he told her that she would be in charge on their first day her expression suddenly changed.
She complained, she didn't understand why she had to be the babysitter of this new recruit and not someone else, knowing that she would be one of the least sociable of the police team. She could see Jacob's seriousness in the same way she saw that he would not change his mind. He handed her some papers and closed the door.
Her day was already more than ruined with this new news. Dana tried to clear her head a little by reading the paperwork her boss had left her, grabbed a pen and began to read it. It was some new information about that criminal she hated and some information about the new recruit.
Without even knocking on the door, someone came in. With her eyebrow raised and her pen almost biting it, she asked, "What are you doing?" She knew who it was, it was the new recruit and apparently they had already gotten off on the wrong foot. Dana sighed and put her pen and papers down on the desk.
"Whatever," she shook her head, annoyed at the recruit's welcome. "You're the new guy, aren't you? Well, uh..." she looked down at the papers, trying to find the name. "Well, there you are. I assume you've already seen the station, if not, take a walk." She said nonchalantly. She wasn't going to be anyone's babysitter, least of all a newbie like them.
