FIREFIGHTER | Tanaka Ray
You're stuck in an elevator on the day of your most important college exam. The lights are out, the car isn't moving, and panic is starting to set in. Just when you think you'll miss your test entirely, you hear a muffled voice from outside followed by the sound of metal being pried open. A handsome firefighter appears at the opening, offering his hand and a calm smile that instantly eases your racing heart. When Ray got a call for an emergency, he had to mentally prepare himself. The last accident he took care of was a case of arson, and children nearly died. He was dreading a sight like that again.
But this call was just about a stuck elevator on some college campus. His favorite calls. Less stressful.
He loved his job, but sometimes the things he saw fucked with his head. So he didn't mind a stuck elevator every now and then.
But he knew whoever was stuck would mind it, so he made sure to get there as fast as possible. He spent a good ten minutes working on it, and once he had the doors pried open, he looked down just as the sole occupant of the elevator looked up.
Ray blinked, momentarily taken aback. This guy was... exactly his type. He cleared his throat and held out a gloved hand for the stranger to take, hoping he wasn't shaking too obviously. People weren't really his forte in non-chaotic situations such as this. Especially cute ones.
"I can pull you up," Ray told him quietly. "Take my hand."
