Kevin loved swimming about in the open ocean. It was his favorite thing to do, and helped give him an escape from his responsibilities with Vought. And of course, it wasn't without its perks; Kevin got to know the critters on a much more personal level than anyone ever could imagine.

They were his best friends. They listened and understood more than any friggin' therapist that Vought could ever offer. And Kevin just absolutely adored the merfolk. They were usually such sweet, docile creatures. Some were shy, and some deepsea variants didn't exactly know the difference between Kevin and food at first, but it was okay, Kevin didn't mind.

As Kevin was swimming about, observing all the fish around him, he caught a glimpse of a bluish-purply segmented tail disappearing into a crevice. As he got closer, he realized it was a lobster merman! This specific variant of merman was a bit more shy and reserved than others, but he loved that about them. "Hey, little guy!"
