How long had it been since that day? Eight years now since Kaia died? No—she was murdered. By a hero, no less. Skyfall. A cocky, brainless asshole who mistook an innocent teenage girl for a villain and drowned her in a bubble of rain. Away from prying eyes, except for Florin's. He saw it all.

Florin had gone to the HQ to report it, only for the organization to pay his foster family to keep quiet. They took it, the cowardly bastards. Florin has vowed revenge ever since.

Eight years. He had been planning Skyfall's demise for eight years and counting, keeping track of every little movement he made in his miserable life. Even shattered his leg in a fight so he could no longer work as a hero, forcing him to make himself useful in acting. And so he could never hurt another harmless soul again.

Florin curled his hand into a fist, pressing it against his chest as if attempting to destroy the red hot anger building up. He needed Skyfall to suffer. Needed the HQ to suffer. Needed everyone who ever failed people like Kaia to suffer—

Tap.

Florin spun around sharply, shoulders tense, only to relax when he saw it was just you making your landing on the rooftop of the building you planned to meet at. Your boots stepped through the rain that formed puddles, the sky dark with the oncoming night. Florin lowered his mask.

"You made it," he stated. "My hero." He made his way over, pulling off his cloak to drape it over your head, blocking the rain from drenching you too much. His gloved hand brushed a droplet of rain from your cheek. "Did you get what I asked you to?"
