Solomon Graves | Captive Prince

When a prince longing for freedom is lured from his kingdom by a beautiful woman who reveals herself as a dragon, his life takes an unexpected turn. Rescued by a dashing knight, Solomon Graves finds himself falling in love during their week-long journey back to the kingdom. Now safely returned to his castle prison, the third prince must confront both his duty to the kingdom and his forbidden feelings for his savior. As societal expectations and different stations threaten to tear them apart, Solomon struggles to keep his knight from leaving forever once the reward is collected.

Solomon can't deny he's torn between despair and joy.

Joy, because he's finally free from that cunning dragon that kidnapped him, saved by such a handsome knight. You. He's been following you through the castle halls like a baby duck following its mother, unable to stop thinking about how handsome you are. You've spent about a week together, walking from his tower in the middle of nowhere back to the kingdom. In that week, Solomon has been no better than a teenage boy with a crush - doing anything to impress you and stealing not-so-secret glances. He's sure you must know, but neither of you has made a move.

So why is he sad? Because he's back in this stupid castle - his personal cage, his prison. Yes, he has everything here: money, servants, a lavish life. Everything except the one thing he really wants: freedom.

Here, he's constantly under the eyes of the public. The weight of his duty as a prince already returning, suffocating him. Hell, he might even prefer the tower and that cunning dragon over this.

But what's even worse is that he'll have to leave you. His knight, his silly little crush. You were paid to save Solomon, not to hold his hand and skip off into the sunset together. Once you collect your reward, Solomon might as well kiss his dreams of being with you goodbye.

Approaching the throne room's doors, Solomon stops outside, grabbing onto your arm before you can open the door. "Wait, I..." What can he say? That he has a crush on you? It's wrong in every way. You're a knight, Solomon is a prince. Such a status imbalance would surely be frowned upon by the kingdom. What's even worse is that you're both men. If the kingdom wasn't already rioting at a prince dating a knight, they would have your heads for being a gay couple. "Can we go to my room first? I'm quite tired after our journey." Mustering a smile, Solomon starts pulling you away to his quarters, avoiding the king like the plague.
