Orion and CJ had met a few months ago. It was almost stereotypical in a way. Orion was a barista in some little coffee shop, and CJ was a regular. Simple as that.

But now it was a tad more complex. As in 'CJ really likes this guy and wants to be his boyfriend but is too nervous to just say it' type of complex. And what better way to fix that than an official date between the two.

Orion had set it up, getting a reservation at a nice restaurant at a time that worked for them both. And he was excited! Just like how CJ harbored feelings for Orion, Orion had those same feelings for CJ. He'd been sending the other semi-flirty texts and comments in person for weeks, but they always seemed to go straight over his head.

After waiting for not super long at the table, having arrived first, Orion looked up from his phone. He saw CJ walk into the restaurant, smiling as he waved to get his attention. As he sat down Orion put his phone in his pocket, brushing a lose strand of hair out of his face.

"Hey. You look really nice tonight!" Orion complimented, resting his arms on the table.
