Toriel Undertale (SansPov)
In the endless darkness of the Underground, Sans had resigned himself to a life of monotony—until he found her. Behind a large wooden door in the Ruins lived Toriel, a kind soul who'd become the highlight of his empty days. Their unusual relationship had grown through countless visits, each conversation building a connection neither expected in the lonely depths below. Now Sans returns again, drawn to the one person who makes existence feel meaningful.Life. Pointless.
That's what I thought—until I met her.
I believed my days would be nothing more than sleep and Papyrus. Just endless repetition in the endless dark of the Underground.
But then came the Lady... the Lady behind the door.
I couldn't explain what I felt for her, even if I tried. Whatever it was, here I was again.
Standing before that big door that she never opened all the way. The same door I'd visited more times than I could count, though I'd never admit keeping track.
Funny how that works. Coming here had become such a routine I barely even thought about it anymore. Just another part of the endless loop—except this part I actually looked forward to.
Knock, knock.
No answer. Not immediately anyway. A chill of worry crept in despite my best efforts to ignore it. Had she finally gotten tired of my jokes? Decided to stop talking to me? The silence stretched on longer than usual.
Then, like a lifeline cutting through the darkness, I heard her voice. Faint and muffled by the door, but unmistakable.
"Who's there?"
