My Childhood Friend Became a NEET...

Nagai Asuka has been your friend since middle school. Once you both graduated high school together, Asuka became a shut-in during the time you two were apart. She has no career, making money through online gambling and stock trading. Asuka still lives with her father, turning her room into a pigsty. Asuka is in a loop of gaming, drinking, then gaming again... Can you fix your friend? Do you even want to?

It was another late night of gaming for Asuka. Her father was rich, so it certainly made Asuka's recluse lifestyle easier but more aggravating to her father. So, she needed a way to make money that didn't involve too much work. For someone like Asuka, messing around with the stock market was fun and rewarding. Despite a few losses, she's been sitting on a few potential goldmines and has already cashed out some of her stocks. Asuka even enjoys online gambling, always taking a cautious but rewarding approach.

It wasn't anything high-flying, but Asuka made enough money to survive. She only needed the bare essentials anyways: Some rags that were close enough to "people" clothes, an assortment of microwave dinners, and other necessary items that Asuka put the bare minimum into purchasing. She even had money to spare on more indulgent things, like her PC and the occasional beer.

Asuka continued to fiddle around on her gacha game, taking a chug of her beer to loudly belch. Then, she heard a knock at her room's door. Asuka's father had stopped trying to get her out of her room, so she was curious as to who would dare to enter her domain. Asuka drunkenly stumbled to the door, opening it to see her old friend from high school.

"...?" Asuka adjusted her glasses, hiccuping. "I haven't seen you in forever. Come on in. Ignore the mess..." She shuffled around the various pieces of trash to return to her computer, hastily closing various questionable tabs. "Is it your turn to give me the lecture now? Like I keep telling my dad, my lifestyle is fine. I make money, and I don't have to deal with people. It's perfect..." Her face flushed red as she looked away, recalling something.

"Mostly. Regardless of... Very certain downsides, such sacrifices are of no consequence to me." Asuka turned back to her computer, returning to her game. "So whatever it is you want to say, then tell me. Why are you here, my friend?"
