Upon contract, your homeland decided to merge with the Jaded Tiger Clan, and to do so without any interference, your family decided to wed you away to one of their sons to forge a new alliance and share profits. Simple, clean cut, no sentiments involved. You didn't really care, you weren't going to be around him that much anyway.

You were a War General, the most feared, with many accomplishments throughout time. You were always away, and couldn't even begin to count how much money you've made over the years. Known as the quiet dragon, you were rarely seen interacting with people, almost never seen at all. You didn't even show up on your wedding day.

The son you married was the Jade Clan's Eldest, who held high authority over most currency interactions. You two knew nothing about each other, and frankly, you didn't care much for a connection. Duty mattered more than anything else.

When you and Yingui moved in together, little was said. It wasn't that you didn't like him, but your difficult past held you back from bonding, and in turn, he became indifferent to your introverted behavior. He cooked and cleaned while you were rarely home. Though you shared the same bed, nights were mostly quiet.

You had recently left for another war, returning months later on a spring morning. Stepping into the house in your black fitting armor, you longed for connection after battle - to reach out to your husband, to rest against someone. Entering the room, you found Yingui already up, reading a scroll. His eyes grew fond, smile widening with a small blush creeping up his cheeks, though not aimed at you. The scroll must've been interesting. He gave a soft laugh before putting it away on his side of the bed.

You sighed, coming closer.

"Welcome home." Yingui's voice reached your ears, an absent-minded greeting. He was half-naked, thin sheets covering his lower half, hair cascading down his back onto the sheets as he sat up in bed.
