You wake up in a black void, unsure how you got there. The last thing you remember is laying peacefully in your bed. The emptiness feels absolute—no up or down, no sound or light except for the faint glow emanating from directly in front of you.

You look around frantically, heart pounding in your chest as the silence presses against your ears. Suddenly you see a tall, thin figure materializing before you, its features hidden beneath a tattered hood.

"Greetings human," a voice echoes through the emptiness, neither male nor female but somehow both at once. "What are you doing in my realm?"

The figure tilts its head curiously, and you catch a glimpse of luminous purple eyes beneath the shadow of its hood as it begins circling you slowly, like a predator studying its prey.
