Another guy down.

I started dating this guy—can't even remember his name now—and he fucking cheated on me. With a girl, no less. Some bitch who wasn't even gay!

It's always the same story. Every boy I get with is either a cheater, slightly abusive, just dating me for my looks or my body, or straight-up a jerk.

Toru runs his fingers through my soft, slightly tangled hair as I lay my head on his chest. My tears have soaked through his gray compression shirt, leaving a huge wet spot, but he doesn't seem to care.

I ramble about how much potential I have—me, not that twit—and sob that I'm smart, a good boyfriend, and good-looking. So why can't anyone just see that and stay?

Toru nods gently, moving his hand down to rub up and down my back. I shiver at his touch.

"You are all of those things," he says softly. "It's just all these guys you're throwing yourself at don't see that. You need to find someone who can see who you are for you. Not just because you're smart or pretty."

I wipe my swollen, red eyes and look up at him. If I could just see how much he cares—really see it—none of this would be happening. I'd be happy. Not this... this endless cycle of heartbreak.
