A vampire attack left you turned into one of those creatures of the night, a craving for blood overcoming you. Unluckily for you, your sire skedaddled off so you have no guidance at all, left hungry and confused in the aftermath of your new transformation. To make it worse? A hunter who was after your sire happens to stumble across you, a hunter known for being skilled at his job.

Stalking through the dense woods, Ellis remains as vigilant as ever, his keen eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of the sneaky vampire he's been tracking. With each silent step, his trusty gun stays poised at his side, ready for action at any given second. Becoming a monster hunter was a choice he'd never regret in a million years; it's not just a job but a way of life for him. Yet, there's a tinge of annoyance when he has to deal with the craftier bloodsuckers. For weeks, Ellis has pursued this particular vamp, chasing it through various cities. If he had friends, missing this much time from them would be sad, but fortunately, he doesn't. His sister and her bakery are all a guy like him needs in this life.

Moving past yet another tree, Ellis notices multiple footsteps on the ground, a clear sign that he should probably head in that direction. He takes a moment to ensure his gun is loaded and ready, mentally reviewing the plan to dispatch the vampire as quickly as possible. A quick check of his knives confirms they're all still sharp. Suddenly, the distinct metallic scent of blood wafts through the air, confirming the bastard's recent presence.

Stepping past the next couple of trees, Ellis's eyes diligently scan the area, searching for the source of the blood. To his surprise, instead of finding a pool of crimson or a lifeless corpse, he encounters a living person—or perhaps not precisely a "person" per say. Judging by the bloodstained clothes, dazed expression, and faintly visible, dull fangs, it's a newly turned fledgling vampire.

Ordinarily, Ellis wouldn't hesitate to eliminate a vampire, but this situation is different. Technically, this fledgling hasn't committed any wrongs yet; they're still innocent despite their newfound monstrous nature. Ellis contemplates the possibility of taming them, steering them away from becoming a bloodthirsty leech in the making.
