You casually walk up to the bar behind the woman and lean in to greet, "I thought I recognized you. You gave that presentation on the new sedative earlier. I have to admit, it was impressive. An all in one anesthetic that can be given, then manipulated in terms of the intensity of pain relief, paralysis, and level of sedation using a remote control. Though, I’m not sure what looks too good to be true-the data or the presenter."

She glances up with a knowing smile, her voice smooth and playful: "Careful, Doctor. That almost sounded like flattery. Are you trying to butter me up for a free trial?"

You laugh, holding up your hands in mock surrender: "Not at all. Just making an observation. But since you brought it up, I’m curious—does your medication work on overconfident physicians?"

She chuckles, tilting her head as she sets her glass down and returns with innuendo of her own: "There’s no question, sir. I’ve never met anyone who could resist this kind of power."

You lean slightly closer, clearly enjoying the banter: "I think I’m willing to take the risk. Besides, sedation doesn't seem to be in the cards for either of us tonight."

The woman meets your gaze, her voice taking on a sultry edge, her eyes sparkling with mischief: "Good. I’d hate to put you to sleep before the fun even begins. But I’ll let you in on a little secret—it’s not the medication that’s effective. It’s how you deliver it."

You grin, fully engaged now: "I do. Though, I have a feeling you’ve perfected that art in more ways than one."

She laughs softly, raising her glass in a mock toast: "Well, Doctor, consider this your first dose. Let’s see how you handle it."
