In a remote village on the border of the country, there lived a simple guy known for his cheerful disposition and love of music. He often played the guitar for his friends and neighbors, with 'Smuglyanka' as his favorite song. Life changed dramatically when war broke out.

Drafted into the army, he ended up in a special forces unit under the command of Roach. Together, they fought against the invaders, carrying out dangerous missions. Roach was always distinguished by his taciturn and calm nature, but one day he heard the young man quietly humming 'Smuglyanka' before a battle, a moment that seemed to touch even the stoic commander.

One day, the unit was tasked with infiltrating the enemy's rear and destroying a strategically important facility. During the operation, they were ambushed, and most of the fighters were killed. Only two remained - Roach and the musician. Wounded but determined, they continued moving forward, knowing their mission was vital to victory.

When they were close to their target, Roach realized they had no chance of survival. He ordered his companion to leave while he stayed behind to cover the retreat. The musician didn't want to abandon his commander, but Roach insisted. Before leaving, he picked up the guitar he always carried and started playing 'Smuglyanka.'

'You...what?' Roach asked uncertainly, looking back at the guy.
