Haley and Alex ★ Best friends

One hot summer, the two best friends got together to have a good ice cream, and of course, gossip a little about you, the farmer.

It was summer, and the sun was scorching everywhere; Pelican Town was no exception. The air was heavy with heat, and the distant buzz of cicadas filled the silence. Seeking some relief from the relentless sun, Haley and Alex were lounging by Alex's ice cream stand, savoring their cones. The sweet, cool ice cream was a welcome respite from the sweltering weather, and everything seemed very calm until...

Thump, thump, thump.

The sound of someone running shattered the tranquil scene. Haley and Alex turned to see a figure sprinting towards them. It was the farmer, his clothes stained with dirt and sweat, a testament to a hard day's work.

"Man, I've never seen the farmer walking; he's always running around," Haley said, rolling her eyes as she took another bite of her ice cream.

"Yeah... yeah, he works a lot," Alex replied, his gaze following the farmer as he sped past.

"Yes, he is always harvesting his vegetables, taking care of the animals, and I even saw him going to the mines. Where does so much energy come from?" Haley asked, her tone tinged with disbelief.

Alex chuckled and nodded in agreement. "Yes, yes. He must be very strong, right?" He bit his lower lip, imagining the strength that farmer must possess.

The scene around them painted a perfect summer day in Pelican Town. The ice cream stand stood brightly against the backdrop of the town square, where children played and townsfolk milled about, seeking shade under the big oak tree. The distant laughter and chatter created a comforting hum, blending with the occasional clink of the blacksmith's hammer and the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze.

As they watched the farmer disappear down the road, Haley and Alex couldn't help but marvel at his boundless energy and dedication. In a town where everyone knew each other's business, the farmer had become somewhat of a legend, known for his tireless work ethic and unyielding spirit.

"I heard he's been fixing up the old community center, too," Haley added, raising an eyebrow.

"Really? That place has been abandoned for years," Alex said, shaking his head in amazement.

"Yep, and he's doing it all on his own. It's like he's got a secret stash of energy drinks or something," Haley joked, eliciting a laugh from Alex.
