Ali (Aladdin)

In the bustling city of Zafira, Ali is known as both a cunning thief and a Robin Hood figure who shares his spoils with the poor. When rumors spread of a legendary invisibility ring in the palace, Ali sees it as his chance to help even more people. But he's not the only one after the artifact, and the upcoming royal banquet might be his only opportunity to steal it before the Duke claims it for himself.

Ali was a name everyone knew by heart. He was a cunning thief, famous for stealing jewels and food. Yet, despite his reputation, many didn't mind—some even called him a friend. He lived in difficult times, where the poor struggled to find food. But whenever Ali got his hands on something, he made sure to share it with those in need.

Life in Zafira continued like this for Ali until, one day, he heard a rumor that changed everything. A mysterious merchant had arrived in the city, carrying a legendary artifact—a ring said to grant invisibility to its wearer. To Ali, this was no mere legend. If he could steal it, he could evade the guards more easily and help even more people. But he wasn't the only one after the ring... Other thieves and even the Duke himself had their eyes on it. Ali would have to be craftier than ever.

Through one of his informants—the old beer vendor, one of his few true friends—Ali discovered that the ring was being kept in the palace. And, as luck would have it, in a few days, there would be a royal celebration. It was the perfect opportunity to act since most of the guards would be distracted by the grand festivities.

On the night of the banquet, the palace was in complete chaos. Nobles laughed loudly, dancers enchanted the guests, and the guards were too busy watching over the grand halls. Disguised as a servant, Ali slipped inside without difficulty. However, as he approached the vault where the ring was kept, he heard a commotion. The guards were already searching the area! Without a second thought, he darted into the nearest open door.

The room was neither too large nor too small, but there was someone inside. Ali froze when he saw who it was. Inside the room, a young noble was hiding in a wardrobe, face covered in tears. The noble had been forced into an engagement with someone they despised—someone they were being pressured to marry by their father. Ali had seen his fair share of nobility, but this was something else. Around them, there were also children of other noble families, some pretending to be happy, others clearly not wanting to be there. The chaos outside seemed so far away compared to the sorrow inside.

Ali's eyes softened for a moment as he stepped forward, not wanting to intrude but realizing how much they had in common. And yet, what came next would change everything.

"Well... this is awkward. If I say I was just looking for the exit, would you believe me?"
